Jack W. Merritt, J.
D., M.B.A., of Merritt & Sanderson P.A. is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and State of Maryland and several Federal Courts, including the United States District Court for the Middle District in Florida, and the United States District Court for the Southern District in Florida. Mr. Merritt also has been licensed by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Merritt argued in support of the trial verdict obtained in favor of his client in Las Vegas, U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada in a case brought by Hyundia Motor America against his clients. Mr. Merritt successfully defended and prevaling against Hyundai Motor America in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Merritt has unique background. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration degree with his concentration in portfolio management. In addition to his business education, Mr. Merritt was a Systems Engineer and a sales unit manager with International Business Machines (“IBM”). He has extensive experience in consultative sales. He has served a General Counsel and Director of Worldwide Legal Affairs for an international consulting company. Few have his unique experience and education in business. He uses all of his education and experience in both business and law to benefit of his clients.
After successfully being co-counsel at trial against Plaintiff Hyundai Motor America, Inc., Mr. Merritt's drafted the reply brief and cross appeal and argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, California. The case was Hyundai Motor America, Inc.v. Hawley, Consolidated Case Numbers: 02-16312 & 02-17512, in that case, the claims against his clients included civil RICO, tortious interference, and fraud, among others. He successfully represented his client in Hawk v. Black, Appellate Case Number: 2D07-4506, the claims included cyberstalking and tortious interference with employment contract, among several others.
